Effective October 10, 2026
Task Timer is made by Customized Technology (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your
information when you use the Task Timer app on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Your data stays on your device
Your boards, cards, notes, timers, settings and history are stored only on your device. Board files
you save stay in the app’s own folder on your device. We have no servers that receive them, and we
cannot see them. Task Timer has no account or sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Crash reports
If the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, it sends an anonymous crash report so we can find
and fix the problem. Crash reports are processed by Google Firebase Crashlytics on our behalf.
| A crash report contains | The error and where in the app it happened (stack trace); app version; device model, operating system version, orientation, free memory and disk space; the time of the crash; and a random installation identifier created by Crashlytics. |
|---|---|
| It never contains | Your tasks, card titles, notes, board names, files, name, email, location, contacts or advertising identifier. |
| Used for | Finding and fixing bugs. Not for advertising, not for tracking, not sold or shared with anyone else. |
| Kept for | 90 days, then deleted by Crashlytics. |
Google’s handling of this data is described in the
Firebase privacy information.
Permissions
Task Timer asks to send you notifications when a sprint or break ends. This is optional and the app
works without it. Notifications are created on your device; nothing is sent to us.
Children
Task Timer does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your choices
Deleting the app deletes all of its data from your device. Because crash reports are anonymous, we
cannot link them to you; if you have a question about them, contact us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
